I, Woz is an upcoming autobiography about Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. If you’ve read anything about Woz you’re likely convinced, as am I, that he’s one of the most brilliant engineers of our time. He designed the Apple I and II by himself, created the first inexpensive floppy disc controller, designed the Atari game Breakout, and is no doubt the engineer most responsible for the personal computer.

I’ve already pre-ordered my copy.

One interesting tidbit I picked up from Guy Kawasaki’s post on the book:

The statement that convinced Woz to leave HP to start Apple (uttered by Allen Baum) was, “You can be an engineer and become a manager and get rich, or you can be an engineer and stay an engineer and get rich.”

You can pre-order the book here.
