No compelling pitch or raising millions from Angel investors as step one?

And where is the Myspace strategy? You need to hit every possible outlet.

And you need to take a huge trade stand at at least one major show for maximum visual impact…

I like the simple direction, it’s good. Out of curiousity did you create the image? The reason I ask is #7 instructs us to have a free plan whereas your most popular post is titled “Why Free Plans Don’t Work”.

Somebody missed the joke 😉

Ya, I guess I did.

I did create this graphic, but it’s intended more as a satire than anything else.

You forgot step 0: Spend 6-18 months in secret building a product (and make sure you don’t show it to anyone, b/c they will steal the idea you know…)

Rob Reply:

LOL…you’re absolutely right.

What a great entertaining read. Its the infographic of sad truths.

The kittens in steam rollers comment made me laugh. I hate it when people roll together step 4 with steps 12 & 13, making every tweet and post they make come from automated notifications that the site updated.

Great list Rob. The sharpest observation is the title. I sure I’m gonna see the blog article 8 reasons why numbered lists are the most powerful psychological tool since electronic deep brain stimulation and poledancing. Personally I need to read 12 reasons why I dont have to run screaming down the street if I see another numbered list article.

Heh. If anyone has a video of a chihuaha being fired from a trebuchet, please post a link (I’ll pass on the kitten vs steamroller video).
